JEWISH LIFECYCLE & HOLIDAY EVENTS

Through meaningful Jewish experiences, we empower the Jews of Rostov to reclaim their rich history—and secure our collective future.

The last remaining active synagogue in Rostov, the Cantonist Synagogue was built in 1872.

Originally built to reintegrate conscripted Jewish Cantonist soldiers into the community after years of forced estrangement from Judaism, it’s now been beautifully renovated to it is welcoming Jews as they rediscover their culture and heritage.

Our Synagogue

We hold daily minyanim, Shabbat services with weekly community meals, youth groups, and holiday services and celebrations. We offer weekly Torah classes for young and old, enjoyed immensely by the many attendees who share a feeling of camaraderie and belonging.

Holiday Programs

Our tight-knit community comes together to celebrate special holiday events throughout the year. Besides our annual Chanukah concert and Purim costume festival, we also hold High Holidays services and a Passover community seder.

Lifecycle Events

In Rostov, we love to celebrate each of life's special moments together. Every Bris Milah, Jewish Chuppah, Bar or Bat Mitzvah is a reason to rejoice — and we celebrate in grand style like one big family.

Holiday memories to last a lifetime

“I live 60 Kilometers away from Rostov, but I will not miss a holiday here. Living in a city with no community is hard. This is my home!"
